forgetfulness and excitement… they go hand in hand for me! October 22, 2008

Filed under: God is GREAT!! — kgarrard @ 2:13 am

guess what?  i TOTALLY forgot about my blog until this evening…..

anyhoo… i just got a new book tonight to read……  can’t wait to dive in.  THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP by Dietrich Bonhoeffer…. the discussion of cheap grace vs. costly grace…….

One of my all time favorite lines starts the book:  “When God calls a man, He bids him come and die”.

Oh!  The glorious love of my God and His enormous care for me overwhelms my soul!

until next time……

that may be why you didn’t get too many comments, because ppl thought the blog was no longer happening. it’s such a cute blog. I need to remember to check it out when i go to brent’s, which isn’t necessarily regularly, but I try….love you.

    i didn’t forget…i was just waiting for a blog.

“The life of the spirit is not that which shuns death and keeps clear of destruction: rather it endures death and in death it is sustained. It only achieves its truth in the midst of utter destruction.” -D. Bonhoeffer

Colossians 1:24 – Fill up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions by taking his suffering to every nation, tribe, tongue, & situation in bodily form to show the depth and immensity of his love and grace towards us… Amazing. He has left us here to call out to Him and totally rely on Him so His glory may be seen in whatever trial or trouble we find ourselves in! He is good to involve us in that way!

  4. Nice pic, you should blog more often because you have valuable things to share.
